Investigative journalists who intend to write investigative stories in various fields can apply for grants covering their whole investigative project.
The grant is provided by Investigative Journalists Fund based in the United States.
Closing date for submission of applications for grants is December 9, 2010.
Only 13 investigative reports meeting the criteria will receive grants.
Eleven of the reports should be from the US and two from other countries.
Totally, the $24,000 has been dedicated for the investigative reports by the fund.
The fund has asked for focus on themes about performance of governments and environmental issues.
