Working photographers can apply for a grant.
The Aftermath Project is offering a US$25,000 grant for photographers who tell the other half of the story of conflict. This year's grant will focus on 1492/1619 American Aftermaths.
Proposals may relate to a wide interpretation of America’s original sins: the 1492 landing of Christopher Columbus and the assault on Indigenous peoples and their cultures which followed; and the 1619 arrival of the first enslaved Africans and the legacy of slavery based on white supremacy and the treatment of Blacks as chattel.
Photographers from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply. Full-time students are not eligible.
Deadline: Nov, 18, 2022
